COMMUNITY MANAGER
Victoria, Australia (Remote)
We’re looking for a passionate Community Manager to engage with fans and volunteers, and boost the market visibility of Untethered, a space-station survival sandbox built in Unity coming soon to Steam Early Access. You’ll work with a small indie team to create content, design marketing strategies, and build hype ahead of release.
This is a remote role requiring the candidate to be based in Victoria, Australia. The position can be structured either as a contract role or fixed-term part-time employment, depending on your preference.
What will you do?
- Keep the community informed with announcements, YouTube videos, and social media posts.
- Act as the first point of call for players - answering questions on the Discord server and Steam Community, and ensuring all feedback is routed through the correct channels.
- Onboard and coordinate volunteers across our moderation, translation, and playtesting teams.
- Design, produce, deploy, and analyse marketing campaigns.
- Liaise with content creators and press.
- Use market research and data to inform future marketing and engagement efforts.
What are we looking for?
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management and planning ability.
- Proficiency in image editing tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, or Inkscape.
- Proficiency in video editing.
- Familiarity with social media and advertising tools like YouTube Studio, and Reddit Ads.
- Passion for space and space games. Able to share interests with community members.
Other valued skills:
- Familiarity with the Steamworks store page backend.
- Familiarity with project management and issue tracking tools like GitHub, Trello and Jira.
- Experience in live streaming with OBS to Discord, YouTube and/or Twitch.
- Being Melbourne-based is highly valued, but not essential.
