We’re looking for a Programmer to help support the development of Untethered, a space-station survival sandbox built in Unity coming soon to Steam Early Access. You’ll work within a small indie team to implement features, resolve issues, and bring to life the world of deep space exploration.
This is a remote role requiring the candidate to be based in Victoria, Australia. The position can be structured either as a contract role or fixed-term part-time employment, depending on your preference.
What will you do?
- Implement game features and enhancements with C# and Unity.
- Performance profiling and improvements.
- Categorising, prioritising, resolving and responding to bug reports.
- Any other tasks that fit your skill set. That could include tool development, deployment, web development, QA, etc.
What are we looking for?
- Strong knowledge of C# and Unity.
- Great communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and work to deadlines.
- Drive and ambition for learning and improving is perhaps the most important.
- Confidence with soruce control (git).
Other valued skills:
- Familiarity with project management and issue tracking tools like GitHub, Trello and Jira.
- Python for automation and tool creation.
- Familiarity with FMOD C# API for audio integration.
- Being Melbourne-based is highly valued, but not essential.
